7/24: El Tecolote, Supe Mirkarimi, Iran & more

1ST HOUR: The Mission's own El Tecolote is the longest running Spanish/English bilingual newspaper in the Bay Area. For over 35 years this newspaper has told the story of the Mission's political, social, cultural, and economic life. We'll talk with folks from Tecolote about their work, the newspaper's history, the latest news in San Francisco's Latino community, and more.

2ND HOUR: Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi will join us to talk about the city budget and the rally for democracy in Iran he is organizing for tomorrow, July 25th from 12-4 p.m. in Civic Center plaza. We'll also be joined (hopefully) by a representative from NorCal4Iran, one of the Iranian-American groups organizing the rally.
UPDATE: Supervisor Chris Daly also joined us around 7:30 to talk about the budget.
