8/28: Lennar land grab in Bay View and Street Sheet's 20th Birthday

1ST HOUR: Street Sheet turns 20! On Septemeber 10 the Coaltion on Homelessness will be holding a 20th birthday fundraiser for Street Sheet. We'll be joined by guests from COH to learn more about the state of homelessness in San Francisco.

2ND HOUR: Lennar Land Grab in the Bayview - We'll be joined by guests from Green Action, POWER, and Our City to discuss State Senator Mark Leno's legislation that would authorize the transfer of Candlestick Point State Park to the Redevelopment Agency and, in turn, multi-billion dollar developer, the Lennar Corporation.

8/21: Valerie Orth Band, SweatFree SF, City Hall Update

1ST HOUR: The Valerie Orth Band playing live in the cafe! Valerie will also join us in the studio to talk about her work as an organizer and activist--particularly her work on San Francisco's landmark SweatFree ordinance. The Valerie Orth Band headlines the Cafe du Nord on Saturday.

2ND HOUR: City Hall Update - Tuesday was the last Board of Supervisors meeting before the three-week legislative recess. Will review some of the interesting legislation that was introduced on Tuesday and discuss the mystery of who leaked a confidential memo from the City Attorney to the Chronicle.

8/14: Netroots Nation, San Pancho Art Collective & Chevron protests

1ST HOUR: Live report from Net Roots Nation. Our new intern, Raquel Castellanos, will tell what's up at the annual progressive blogger summit in Pittsburgh, PA. She'll be joined by Barry Kendall, the Executive Director of the Commonweal Institute, a progressive think tank based in San Francisco.
We'll also hear from the recently-formed San Pancho Art Collective who brought you that brilliant new mural outside Mission Pie!

2ND HOUR: Chevron: Global Criminal. Ananda Lee Tan from the Mobilization for Climate Justice will give us the scoop on a major march and protest for clean air and justice in Richmond tomorrow and some background on Chevron's long history of misdeeds in Richmond and around the world.

1ST HOUR: The Griffin and Spotswood Report with local bloggers, Melissa Griffin and Beth Spotswood. Griffin writes a Thursday column on local politics for the Examiner, while Spotswood also writes for the SFGate Culture Blog and the SF Appeal.

2ND HOUR: Sunday Streets and more - Beth Byrne, the volunteer coordinator for Sunday Streets wil join us to talk about Sunday's plan for car-free streets in Golden Gate Park and the Great Highway. We'll also talk about other recent happenings around the City.
